Price Chopper in my town went from 4 shelves wide and 6 deep to 1 and 6 deep! good bye Ernie !
@ohu - such a good and accurate post. Sad and disgusting.
U would think 2 nd qt numbers would be up with Kellogg loading up wharehouses accross the country now you are relying on someone else to make numbers won't happen store are giving up Kellogg space to other dsd vendors becasuse they don't want to deal with it. There isn't a store out there that got Kellogg on there mind huge mistake to rely on someone else to grow your business I look for Kellogg to be sold within a yr
I honestly believe the buyers remorse is setting in. Qtr 2 numbers flat even with double dip deliveries to both stores and warehouses. I honestly expected much stronger snack numbers but they were flat. I'm sure that made K leadership hearts skip a beat when they got those underwhelming numbers. Snacks flat & cereal down. Not a positive beginning to their new model. Let's be honest: this company will be in trouble in one year. I don't care what Kool-aid the Acct teams and managers are espousing now. You CAN NOT replace the daily attention, in store, the DSD model afforded you. Sales will not increase under this new fantasy model. Just saying to the new snak/Walmart reps that your budgets are increased by x% without any plan from K leadership is very disconcerting. I had a plan for every store I walked into. I guess it's a mute point anyways. The new snak/Walmart reps will be gone in 16 months. Then onto outsourcing in store representation and that mess. Kelloggs should have sold Snacks before they allowed Snaks to wither on the vine. Well I guess future food marketing grads will read about how hubris on the part of Kelloggs leadership ruined a company. But by that time our current Leadership team will have left with their stock options cashed out and golden parachutes fully deployed. Onto ruining another viable company. Repeat ad nauseum.
Sad.
I have been working for this crappy company for over 15 years, always in the top 10 in the zone, I got hurt and was out on short term disability, so the zone manager raised my budget through the roof so I could not earn the piece of sh.. ford focus, I hope you rot in hell Dan T.
Front lobby display,Every Kroger would get 220 cases of Zestas,Skids of Ripplins,Tato skins,O'Boises..Cheezits on sale?every store would get two pallets.Back to school, five skids of product.
Its not just a changing market, they cheapened our product, raised the cost, lowered the volume, made massive poor product, and business choices, and gave it all away to our competition.
And its not just sour grapes, its nauseating what they did to Keebler.
Those were the good ol days. I remember bringing in Tato Skins into Wal Mart. 25 plus years down the drain.
Yep
