I just turned in my keys today! Been a long time (DAILY) reader of this website for a few years now but have never made a post in fear of retaliation some how. I feel bad that I left my GM while still being on the schedule for the next two weeks, but I gave them the longest notice of all time. (Since January) New job has Blue Cross Health insurance paid by the company with $20 deductible, state retirement, and doesn't force me to sell protection plans, snake oil, credit cards...etc. 5 1/2 years as Tech Supervisor and I'm not looking back. A lot of these posts have hit home, and a few have yet to come to fruition. I hope that the remaining employees the best! I am now watching from afar!

As far as reprisals for posting here, If you don't give details to out yourself or your store, or post on a work PC or network, it is virtually impossible for them to know.
I know my small, gm and dm view this site at work. I have come into the office many times and found this site up. My sm left his tablet open on it once, I was very tempted to post some rants and insults to the Dm and rvp from it

Things will only get worse as RVPs and DMs see the walls closing in with the separation and likely sell off of retail. They will be all over stores to make them look good.

On more thing, why should I have to come in and open the store, log in to those pointless, broken record ESP calls at 930 when I've only been under 7% literally 3 or 4 times the whole year? What a waste of time and resources! No one wants snake oil as they've already purchased a screen protector/case from the phone retailer already anyways! Took away my black shirt and gave me a red one, yet still have a sign with black shirt wearing easy techs on the wall. I know why, because they are closing easy tech and were too cheap to order black shirts! You can't fool me, i've read too much stuff posted on this site!
Also, I've sold well over $100,000 in protection plans for Staples and was always #1 in my district and very close to the top of my region (pre realignment/consolidation). What did I get on rare DM visits? 60 or so Star Points. Ridiculous is an understatement. Customers absolutely loved me! Saved so many customers from never returning simply for showing up that day! What did they do? Tried offering the open Assistant Manager position to a new hire that hadn't even been there 8 months yet. Too much favoritism and politics.
