Thread regarding Cox Automotive layoffs

No job security

layoffs have become the new norm at Cox Automotive... we get the big ones, announced like the last batch, but we also get unannounced constant removals of just a few folks here and there to avoid making the waves among the remaining staff and media... we never know who is next... job security is a thing of the past... this is not good for office morale nor for the company in the long run... anyhow, good luck to all who were affected in the last round...

I am still employed but guessing the layoffs were in areas of where there is duplication. I hate my manager's plan, but he is a good person. I see into the future but he is reactive to everything, so basically he is good but not a good manager.

I am not sure if performance review will impact this round of layoffs...I see some partiality to some team members though they cannot handle work that I can.

May be I will be in the market looking if something happens, but for now living life and taking it easy.

For those who work from home few days a week have been asked to be in office for the next two weeks so they get the final papers signed.

Yup, the morale has never been this low. Nobody can relax when layoffs are constantly looming above us.
