Is that true? I'm considering which company to join, which has better future? What are your thoughts?

They are both sweatshops who believe they own you 24/7. If you go make it a purposeful short term strategy. Pick the company that allows you to have the most marketable skills. Qcom skills can be very qcom specific.
I don't know about bonus comparison but for RSU grants I think Broadcom is pretty much at or near the top for major tech companies. The annual RSU grants at Broadcom are more than annual bonus. Of course the trick is to stay employed long enough for the RSU's to vest.

i work in Broadcom and i have friends who work in Qualcomm, in terms of money, Broadcom is definitely better for engineers. (don' t know about top level). But in terms of treatment and security, Qualcomm is better. if you consider yourself as a mercenary, come in rack the money, no self respect, ready to abuse or get abused, and ready to bail at any moment, then broadcom is for you.
