Thread regarding Meijer layoffs

Meijer is today a different company

Meijer is no longer a family company anymore . It is all high level executives taking millions of dollars as bonus and screwing low end working people in IT .

They should throw away the CIO who has made the company into crap culture. He should rather accept no salary or very less to save the families . It is lot of money transaction at that level , selling work to Offshore , India .

Why no one is raising any voice ..

You are absolutely right, @Osc5kKa-ilvg. This was one a great company, but it has turned into something unrecognizable. It's sad, really.

Meijer has not been a family company for years. Back in 2001 & 2003, hundreds of workers from the corporate office, including many ITS, were let go. The Walmart Supercenter onslaught never happened and outside contracting for some functions didn't happen for years. Just greedy executives. Thankfully, the Acme mess wiped out that clueless CIO. Wonder what will take this one down?

High level executives will keep on moving ahead , take millions as bonus and leave the company to next one and so on .. But it is so sad to leave such a wonderful family oriented , respected company into one of those like public ones , which get sold for greed. If they want customer relationship , respect and love from people - they need to first protect ,Iove and save their employees. Being one of the best family run company , who used to care for their employees, culture was the only reason people wanted to work for this company . So sad to see where they are going ..
