Thread regarding Cox Automotive layoffs

KBB

I worked at KBB and left the company a year ago. I am not aware of any layoffs... The reason why I left is really based on my view of managers and directors that we had and they were hogging all the credit and they treated us as numbers.

Also, micromanagement was rampant, you'd have to report every single thing and there were reports about reports.

The attrition was sky high as people were leaving in droves. Many people believed that groups are being led by unskilled and ignorant managers and directors who enojed and encouraged nepotism, brown-nosing and favoritism.

The meeting loads were insane - way toooo many stand-ups and team meetings, statuses, report meetings.

Also, there were many layers when trying to accomplish work leads to miscommunication and less than stellar results. Management was way concerned over money instead of improving applications and website for consumers. Running ad campaigns without improving user experience and content first is a waste of resources and time and money. What can I tell you... I left so did many others - people quickly realize what's going on and they take off. Cannot fool them for too long...

The leaders don't know what they're doing. The are either faking it to make or they are not smart enough to realize that they are not smart enough. Really just a bunch of egos knocking around. You can always tell by who is doing the most talking in meetings. Leaders listen and talk less. Some good employees there though who are talented. The older talent, I feel sorry for them. They put up with it because of the uncertainty of what would be there for them after KBB. Don't be. If you're talented and haven't become complacent, your experience will be welcomed somewhere else regardless of your age.

Too many meetings, sometimes booked 3 or 4 meetings at one time. Many projects all going at one time, with resources stretched thin.
