Question is why the hell would you want to go back after they clearly let you know what they thought of you when they sent you packing.

Consulting firm I work through sent my name to Devon I told them it was waste of time. I never heard anything back so I'm assuming they aren't interested

Only in rare circumstances, where you're the only person who possesses a critical skill they need, will they hire a laid off Devon employee back as a contractor. Here's an example case. SM (using their initials) was a laid off Devon employee from the Houston office closure. Since the only person who knew how to run their archaic AS400 system was retiring, SM was the only other person Devon could find who knew how to run it. So, they hired SM back as a contractor. Also, SM works from Houston and was not forced to move to OKC.

There seems to be an unwritten rule preventing those who were laid off from returning to dvn.
