@OIXaU29-1upy Correct, the software division was split up and absorbed by other organizations after Steve Mills retired. It is impossible to sell it off since it is now spread thru at least 6 of the groups.
Rometty also recently visited Poughkeepsie - in the helicopter because it's an hour drive from Armonk, never mind that colocation makes that a short commute for the rest of us. She actually said that mainframes are vital to IBM's future, in direct contrast to everything she has said everywhere since becoming CEO. There is no truth, only Ginni.
My money is on the Commerce div being sold off in chunks.. and I am betting SF will purchase a good chunk of it
How about gts, specifically strategic outsourcing? Perhaps this is still a money maker for ibm considering the geographic areas where most ops runs out of.. ie., cheap labour contries (india, brazil, costa rica, ).. bill the client 100/hr , 10

Yes, I agree what software division? Also Rometty just recently visited The Hursley Lab where a good chunk of the software is developed... in helicopter... everyone remembers! Why would she do that if it is to get rid of it? But who knows, she is not the smartest anyway! Time for her to go before she dies more damage.
