Does anybody know what's AFLAC's severance policy in case of layoffs? I've been trying to find some info, but I have had little luck. Layoffs seem to be more and more certain, and I'd like to know in advance what to expect if I am one of the unlucky (although, this is debatable lately) ones. Thanks for any info!

This is true. You either apply for another position, and it could be in another state, tale a lower position in another Dept, or you look for another job. That's why it's not considered a "layoff". Fantastic isn't it?!
It is based on the level you're currently in. Some only get 40% of a month's salary, while some will not. Please be informed, however, as Aflac uses "displacement" as a way to, 1) Will not have to report layoffs, thus remaining on the Top Ethical list (which is bulls*it to begin with), and 2) Puts the responsibility on YOU to apply for roles that you may not even qualify for, or at a lower level.
Aflac is an ugly place to work right now. We have people making decisions on what other business units need, while completely incompetent in their own department. EXL is going to takeover all of Poilcy Services in 2018, while they are working on an additional contract for Claims processing. Not to mention IT!!! But hey, come January 1st, all you'll hear about is the planning of EAW. Better Together. Own it? No. 2018 slogan: Vision 2020... Outsource It!
Wake up and smell the duck p--p. It's going to get nasty! F*ck the Duck.
