AmFam really no longer values its employees as it used to value before...
Nowadays people are frequently fired/laid off. New job openings are filled externally even when qualified internal candidates do exist and can do the job.
Also, every few years, you may have to reapply for your own job - is this normal.
AmFam's VPs have little direction and frequently reverse past decisions, change direction, creating confusion. Most folks constantly struggle to figure out how to keep their jobs - things are fuzzy, direction is lacking and there are layoffs...
