No.... The upper powers starting with the CEO (Cash Eating Organism) that caused the Software crisis and offshoring practices. Remember, it always rolls down hill.

@OAt76xm-4jrq: The arrogance and contempt you display should get you a cush job in upper management. Don't actually build something, just push papers and communicate your sense of self-importance.

Years ago, Paragon was a tight knit team of developers who got the job done. No matter what. Then we were blessed with Horizon know-it-alls who failed at everything. Again. Except that this time they've managed to bring the rest of us down with them.

This makes sense now speaking of India. McKesson EIS has had a SOC built in India and over the last several months there has been a huge, urgent push to move monitoring and support to the SOC. We have been under the gun to get them trained on the monitoring systems. Now it all makes sense. Looks like Tier 1/2 support will be done through the new SOC in India.

My resume is updated and job search has begun.

if you are hanging on for a package, that pays you per week to sit home getting cob webs, your time has passed long ago. You are part of the problem, not the solution.

It's a chop shop if you are a dedicated American who spent years working for a Company that has total disregard for the American worker, because they want to hire cheap Indian Labor. All for the wealth at the top. If you are American, McKesson will lay you off, or use you until you burn out, quit, or get fired because you cannot stomach the foul corrupt managers, directors, and top executives.

Why wouldn't they just sunset Paragon? It makes no sense to move forward with Paragon Ambulatory Care when they have a working clinic solution. And why keep Paragon on the hospital side if you use Allscripts on the clinic side?

The allscripts press release says they're going to keep paragon for small hospitals. No mention of the other products. Wonder what the severance package will look like

And they have a large presence in India apparently

Just glad it wasn't TATA... We've endured enough scummy outsourcing and H1-B abuse, last thing we needed to do was become part of that sh--ty machine and get replaced by low skilled workers.
