Thread regarding Kellogg layoffs

New Snack Reps

So I'm sitting in my car eating my tuna sandwich , Doritos and drinking my Dr.Pepper , actual get to enjoy lunch now not eat while driving , and a thought came to me:

This NEW model is already dead. The New snack reps only have a contract until December 2018. Then for the third year in a row K leadership in their misguided wisdom will shuffle the deck again and the anointed 'Best of the Best' will either All be laid off (like me) or once again enjoy massive downsizing and consolidation.

Wow! Something to look forward to in alittle less then a year and a half. Why work hard for the life of your contract?

They are probably done as we speak. Just like DSD was DOA last April. You know Kelloggs was already engineering the demise of DSD April 1st of last year. If you believe Kelloggs was not in negotiations with China Mart last April you are naive.

What a morale booster for the Kelloggs 'Best of the Best'

Go get 'em Snack Reps!

Enjoy Christmas this year 'cause '18 may be tuff.

Polish up your resumes now.

The reps in my area are only guaranteed til Dec 2018. Better read again. Doesn't matter though. System will fail by then.

Nothing I signed had a date on it just continued employment. With retain reward moving into new model. And for those leaving had a chance to be gifted car etc. Bonus on performance.

Where are you getting information from?

You do realize they didn't keep the "best of the best" a business analytics firm was hired by the brass in Battle Creek to pick everyone based off geographic location of where they live. They kept some of the worst reps in my area and got rid of the best.

If u were offered a 'Best of the Best' New snack rep position and refused the offer you got nothing. No severance pkg, no bonus, nothing.

I wonder if there are some legal ramifications by having the new Snak reps in a defined length contract.
