6 weeks given to me to move to Pune "Internal Job Transfer"

Even my manager had sent an email for Wed 4:30 PM discussion, I hope he will ask me to move to Pune, because earlier he hinted in our team meeting that there is a need in Pune with my skill set, if they ask me to move I have to quit, I have EAD, but with no severance package for the 6.3 years I have spent here.My friend when he left in early Feb mentioned that by year end this whole building will be cleaned and exactly that's what happening....

I got a gentle request to move to Pune in the next 45 days by SLB HR ( I am on H1-B)

Company is already dead, they are moving to India because Funeral charges are quite cheaper

Are they really going to move engineering to india?? The indians produce garbage so if they really did that then the company will be dead in a few years.

Today HR asked me whether am I ready to go to Pune for next 2 years ? They are saying my job here is duplicate as of today....any suggestion!!!!

You are now in SLB (Cameron, Smith is gone my dear buddy) Don't ever dare that H1/GC will be continued, one fine morning they will request you to move to Pune or some other GEO Market Location, based on where you wont go and you will be forced to exit, so no Severance package is applicable for you. You can see the changes in your division slowly but steadily and how they position their seasoned employees.

Would they continue to sponsor H1 for Cameron employees? (My Smith friend who rolled off recently, returned back after 55 days of wait, since no other company was ready to continue his H1 and to continue his GC Process - Poor guy just 3 months ago he got a home in Pearland)

Mostly during the last quarter of this year and remaining in the first quarter of 2018. Management is in the process of consolidating various KPI and once it;s ready the wheels will start moving towards Coimbatore and Pune
