Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Suddenly all of the people who got laid off in September 2015 weren't actually the unlucky ones.

They had houses that they could still sell and a headstart on a new future.

Laid off in 2015. Sold my home for $38K less than I purchased it for two years previously. At the time it didn't feel "lucky" to me at the time, but I have to agree, we were very fortunate. At least our home sold and I was able to obtain employment and security for my family in another state. I tried really hard to recruit some of my former Cabela's co-workers to come with me, but they were in denial as to what was waiting down the road for them. I hate to say it, but "I told you so". Perhaps they should not have ridiculed me when I attempted to help them.
