Besides retail stores I can't recall any business in the United States ever closing up this many office locations ever before across the country.

The company formerly-known as Hewitt Associates had the "hire young, pay cheap" mentality. Grab them at college graduation. Offering great benefits, free lunches, free snacks, etc. And at mega center locations. That was taking place in the 1990s. Well the company didnt last and was acquired by AON around 2011. Lots of moving the call centers to the South (like to North Carolina) and trimming their workforce. Sounds like we have a copycat situation in progress!
The reason for all the closings is that they want to consolidate all ADP's into five super centers. Cost containment and much lower annual income for their NEW employees. Long gone are the days of experienced employees.
It is very similar. I have to wonder if ADP is using the the same "process improvement" consultants and "strategies" used by the Retail industry (ie Sears, Macys) to perform this massive restructure.
