I have seen several people mention that some employees were offered a homeshore option by ADP after their offices were closed. This could be a really good option for me if it turns out to be true, even if it's just a short term solution. Can anybody confirm if this is true?

Detroit office closed in April. One employee was offered a temporary homeshore position through October. Three employees were given homeshore 'permanent' positions all the while they are terming other homeshore employees. It appears to all be temporary smoke and mirrors until the Strategic Locations are up and running.
Tenured associates who work too far from an open office are being let go. Associates aren't even being given the option to move near an open office.
whoever is making these decisions on replacing tenure with younger employees , does not have the client best interest in mind and ADP will no longer exist in a few years, young employees will not want to spend their time in a client service environment for long, these decisions are just ignorant and ADP will pay the price.. another good company going down the drain for corporate greed.
Yes some some people were told that they were 'chosen' to work from home. But it will be until they no longer need them. Guessing by end of fiscal 2018. So by June of 2018 they will be gone
Yes, many on this entire blog are saying the same things...the tenured people are being replaced by cheaper, younger people. Homeshoring is a temporary move the company is allowing for many but there is an expiration date. The restructure is planned to all be completed by mid-2018. ADP has committed to specific deadlines in the supercenter cities that they will bring and fill jobs. Google and read about it. Legit media articles are out there.
First, I believe that ADP has to ask you if you are willing to work from home since they are strategically eliminating their associates and are in the process of determining who they want to stay for a short time and who they want to terminate immediately. If ADP has determined that they want you to stay for awhile, then they will offer you the option of working from home. You can proactively ask your management if they will allow you to work from home and see what they say.
Second, in addition to ADP no longer liking their employees working from home, the company is getting rid of their experienced workforce because they are tired of them "making too much money". They are replacing their established, veteran, and experienced personnel with younger, inexperienced, cheap workers who will be making about a third of what the previous employees were. So if you have been with ADP for a number of years, expect to be terminated no later than next summer whether you are working from home or not.
I strongly suggest that you start looking for a new job, whether the hammer falls tomorrow or in 6 months. Good luck.
