Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Why are there so many firearm thefts? It seems as if there is an incident every week, and they're not all night-time smash and grabs like

Hazelwood. In Springfield a guy walks out the front door with a tactical rifle in the middle of the day. Another site loses 22 handguns. I wonder what the ATF is thinking?

Duh....everyone knows that this is a result of no staffing, and the staff that this is there doesn't care. If there's no AP then we are an easy target. It didn't take long for the bad guys to figure that out. There was a time that an unaccounted for firearm created company wide panic and fear, but now it's a big yawn.

What would be very interesting would be the figures concerning internal shrink - leadership has created such a negative and caustic atmosphere, it has to be through the roof.

When designing the anti theft protection they didn't take into consideration that the overnight employee's would be gone at some point and the the stores would be left empty - easy targets, nobody around, police stretched thin

Cabelas as a company is done. Tommy is selling his house, no one cares - very easy target. Will get worse
