I been laid off before. Compared that it was decent process. mgmt explained the reasons gave me couple of months garden leave I can use time to find another job and I still getting paid. I can find job in less time than that I don't see the problem. my work is value, so it is not like they are doing me favor by giving me a job. It is just fair exchange. I work. They pay. If they don't pay me, I go work somewhere else. What's the big deal?

I was also asked to go. I agree with the above comments as the 2 months leave concept was fantastic and in my case my manager's manager gave me a lead and is helping me with an opportunity. I got a interview call on 30th June and my F2F meeting is on 03 July. Hurt but it was managed OK I think
