Unfortunately one way to increase profit margins is by reducing cost. And a very quick way to reduce costs is through layoffs and shutting down sites.

This is an article from April. I think a lot of those job cuts are already starting to happen...

@O21VbVz-stf, 👏 bravo! Looking at previous posts on 15% reduction, there has been so many attempts to contradict the facts/reality what is really happening at this organization. Yet, those on the other side of the aisle (so to speak) persistently preaching about how wonderful it is going to be... yes, they are trying to prevent more people from jumping from the sinking ship!!

@O21VbVz-ctm

I know what side of the aisle you're on and expected you to leave out key words from the presentation. Let me not help you but help others with the key words contained in the presentation.

"Micro Focus believes it will be possible to improve the margin delivered by HPE Software's mature software assets (approximately 80% of HPE Software revenue) to Micro Focus' level3 of c.46% by April 2021"

Keyword = P O S S I B L E

In other words, MF can't guarantee group-wide 46% profit margin increase.

At the end of the day, those looking for information that really matters will turn to Glassdoor and YouTube videos of MF to realize they're being sent to a graveyard with folks that are on the doorsteps of retirement, simply collecting a paycheck. No one cares about 'possible' numbers. The posting of the link to the Telegraph article makes your side of the aisle nervous that more people will leave, causing a shortage of workers to deliver the goods. The influx of goodbye emails doesn't help you sleep good at night either.

@O21VbVz-ctm, as a reminder this is a WFR forum. It appeared you are more interested in placing emphasis in the so called artificial inflated "profit margin" based on WFR's. Any chance that you can help to address the WFR to avoid hardship on the many employees family life ????

In the presentation to lenders on April 4, its executive chairman, Kevin Loosemore, and chief financial officer Mike Phillips said Micro Focus planned to bring profit margins at HPE Software up from 21% to a group-wide 46% within four years.
