Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

I'm frustrated

I've been employed by Zenith for 2 years. I am embarrassed to tell people where I work, I don't like our product due to terrible outcomes, and I don't have to work very hard. But yet here I am. What is wrong with me? Why are we still open?

Why does this continue? I don't see anything on the horizon that is going to change this farce from continuing.

The students aren't paying them, the tax payers are at the cost of $38.00 for every $1.00 collected.

Zenith website shows a lot of expensive sounding leaders that few could argue are doing much behind destroying a company. Would love to know how much the unemployed students who have defaulted on their student loans are paying these folks. What a sham!!!!!!!!!

The post says LESS than 10,000. Everest online had the most students but that's being taught out and shut down. Once Online is done there will be less than 5,000 students.

10,000! The average enrollment is under 200 per location! I believe 10,000 is really reaching into tomorrow land!

Hopefully this nightmare will soon be over and all of the poor ignorant enrollees can continue living off the system without the burden of a worthless education loan to pay back. Please shut this huge, abhorrent scam down.

The only housecleaning coming is when ECMC decides enough is enough and shuts Zenith Education Group down. When ECMC took over the schools there were more than 30,000 students and today there are less than 10,000.

I think the earlier post was from someone frustrated with him or herself so he she didn't need the snark. I share the frustration. We are better than this. I am convinced that we have terrible leadership. I'm praying for a housecleaning.

Maybe a new place is in order for you? As for what is wrong I would say you have no drive to better yourself (don't have to work to hard), think too highly of yourself (embarrassed to tell people where I work) and think you know better than a 50 million a year company (Why are we still open). My guess stripping might be the job for you. More money, dark rooms to hide your flaws, and you don't have to think hard. Plus you might make more money.

It is interesting to read these two comments. The poster never said they work directly with students, yet people just make that assumption. The poster actually said, "I don't like our product due to terrible outcomes..." Meaning, they could be working in Product Development or in the corporate offices.

If you have to work, unfortunately, you are going to have to tough it out until you find something else. Also, not that this is a positive, but I am sure there are probably many fellow employees (looking at this message board) who are in the same place as you are. Hang in there! Trust me when I tell you something better will come along.

Oh, by the way, don't be embarrassed to tell people where you work. If you are doing the right thing, then you can definitely be proud of yourself and that should be your focus. When I got laid off from Cci, I held my head high and proud during interviews, because I was not the slime that behaved poorly.

you don't have to like where you work, but until you get out of there, you have students that need you, so treat them with respect and give them something positive to remember about that $15k they are spending.
