Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

If Staples was truly well positioned financially, why accept a buyout price so close to the market price? Another smoke and mirrors.

Interesting article about the sell. Maybe Staples isn't worth what they were saying all along. The ones doing all the work or who believed in this company for so long are the ones hurt the most.

Share holders not happy with the buyout price. Law firms are investigating weather the board neglected the duties to the stock holders.

There will be a proxy vote soon, and class action lawsuits from share holders could follow.

You don't think $3 over stock price is above market price? What do you think a company normally pays?

I think he meant that he's grateful he sold his stock when it was around $21. I dumped all mine a number of years ago when it was $18. I just wasn't convinced there was a good business plan moving forward. Glad I made that decision. I would've lost thousands.

"I can tell you selling the stocks at $21 sure feels great right now!"

Where are you getting a $21.00 per share price? The mark is $10.25 per share on the LBO. Check your facts.
