layoffs in their future???

There are always eventually layoffs in an Acquisition or Merger once they have figured out where they can do more with less - and when I say more with less, I mean if you are currently a 40-50 hour work employee, be prepared to ratchet that up to 60-70+ hours a week or else Amazon has plenty of robotic employees trained to step in and deliver those hours w/out more pay without public complaint. This is the way it's done and whining about it ensures to put you on the list for a layoff.

If employees are drug tested, layoffs wont be necessary.
Amazon will replace cashiers with robots. Customers can wait in their car and the drones will pick up the goods and delivery to their cars. There will be a place to return goods, so there will be no one complaining ever and customer support rep is not needed. Entire Whole Foods store will have no human employees. Don't bother to throw a jokes because robots will only responding to what they have in their AI dictionary. In version 2, Amazon might embed some jokes into the robots.
