At this point, for many departments and product lines, there is no more fat to trim. These layoffs are cutting some good talent at this point. It can't be helped since the inbound orders are just not coming in.
And yes, if people who just talk sh-- about the company would do us all a favor and leave, other people who want to stay may not have to lose their jobs.
Understand the business and the market conditions people. A business is out there to make money. If you're losing money bc you choose not to make changes to size your company appropriately then you're a dumb--s. If you're in a volitile industry like O&G and not positioning yourself for possibility of being let go, you're a dumb--s.
the market is eating our salaries you dumb $h*t clean out your f'ing ears. post below is right, step up or step out! those on here who feel dirty or are disgusted with the company GTFO! why wait? maybe if you would have raised your hand to go, some of us would still be there.
what good ppl. would that be? Are you delusional? Fat got trimmed...Step up or step out
I saw some good people go yesterday, funny thing is the work still has to be done like they are still here, with no raises, makes me wonder who's eating their salary?
Several groups affected. Non-effective warm bodies of engineering dept have been slashed, rightfully so. Planning slashed, tool crib slashed.
if you've been sitting around lately doing much of nothing, most likely you're on the chopping block.
Here is an example of why you NEVER take management's word when they say there'll be no layoffs or they won't affect this group or that group. I've heard of half a dozen companies that literally told their employees all is well, no layoffs...on a friday, then monday did massive layoffs.
You cannot trust management when it comes to layoffs. They will lie.
anyone from lowbay or high bay?
Sorry to hear that. Any other sites?
any leads gone?
Everyone....there were lies about the shop not being affected but that is not the case
who's all being affected.... which groups? techs/managers/leads/ etc??
