Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

"What Is Your Do/Say Ratio?"

Really???? Wow! How many times are you going to slap your employees across the face and call into question our professionalism and work ethic?

Isn't the question that needs to be honestly answered Ms. CEO, "What is your and your fellow C level officers as well as Board members and VPs do/say ratio?" You're selling us out and running away for crying out loud.

Arrogance is the hat weak leaders wear. Enough with looking out the window at failure and in the mirror for success. You all have a lot of failure to answer for in your 8 months to the day at the helm.

You are fortunate in the fact that the administration running the country is, remarkably, even worse at their jobs than all of you so you get spared the front page.

One can only hope that not only will Sycamore Partners buy Staples but that they read this and other postings around the web so they have true sense of the blame centric toxic culture that has been further propagated to the Nth degree on your watch.

You did get one thing right, talk is cheap, that's why your bank account is still flush. If you were actually charged for each unfulfilled word you've uttered you'd be living in a box on Boylston.

It's not "Go Big Red", which by the way was the Trailways Bus slogan before it was the Nebraska Football fight slogan and before you usurped it (insert proof of your lack of originality here), it is simply: Go Home and Take Your Shills With You.

Shira and Co expect the equivilant of 4 star chefs working in stores for McDonald's pay. Even when you attract that level of talent they do not stay long due to the crappy conditions.

Framingham offers 4 oz of 75% lean chuck ground beef to work with and expects stores to turn that into a 22oz reverse seared rib eye steak for customers at the snap of their fingers. It is obviously just another unrealistic expectation.

Everyone at Framingham needs to get over themselves and realize store teams can not do better with what they are provided, even under the best circumstances. Shira & co ARE the problem, not the solution.
