NYC workers have been on strike for 9 weeks now. Their entire techs op unit, service, install, plant, construction, fiber, warehouse, business unit. They bring out of state contractors to do our work. Charter has no loyalty to it's workers. They promise jobs and give you excuses, low pay, and no benefits. Welcome to Charter.

I trust Charter will make everything right for everyone involved. Come on Charter, give us our benefits and wages back before we all go postal up on this piece.

So what you are saying is to take the raise they are offering, which since they are company making money we would get anyway, and give up everything else. I am sorry but that is defeatist thinking. What the company is offering is putting us in the negative and tomorrow possibly no job at all. Rather now or later this would have been inevitable. We have to fight to preserve what we have. Others have moved on to other jobs, respect them more then those who complain about how much the union reps are making. Yes we have been out far too long but the union is not the one keeping us from going back, the company is.

If I made that much I would make everyone to go on strike to save my a--! I'm good cause my wife owns her own business, but not right they would walk us off the job and have our fellow brothers suffer who aren't so lucky. Why couldn't we stay working and negotiate? I agree with the real truth - maybe not as extreme, but there is a lot of truth there. Foreman do nothing, and we definitely are looked down upon by the A card electricians. The one white hair Union guy that speaks on our behalf is real shady. We need to wake up and take a good look at what we are being offered.
I thought the city hall meeting was good as it showed some backing but I wish these council members new what they were saying. It looks like they were just reading questions that were given to them. We need to get our act together local 3 - very sloppy so far.
I hear corporate greed, but I also see corruption and greed on the union side. My brother works for Verizon and I agree CWA is a smarter and better run Union.

Local 3 is a crooked Union! They represent us for charter NYC and the reason we are on strike. We have been on strike for 10 weeks because they are trying to protect their A card electricians, they can care less about us!! They tell us that we have all the backing in the world, but there has been no press, no intervention - bottom line, no clout local 3! All we do is yell and scream like the idiots you think we are. It's all a union smoke screen to keep us for thinking for ourselves. We have a huge pay increase that will be life changing. Local 3, I paid into my pension for 7 years - so I am vested. You have to pay me anyway. They want the foreman to benefit and those guys are useless. Times have changed - these guys are barbarians with no smarts. Look at the videos on YouTube, the way they speak is embarrassing. I read a post that says they speak like they have marbles in their mouth and that's true. Sorry for the vent my Union brothers, but these are the guys we don't want representing us!! Local 3 we are going back to work without you. Your getting paid, your Stewards are getting paid, all the guys that are keeping us out of work are getting paid and we are pawns in your fight. I'm sick of it - not all unions are corrupt, but you definitely are . Are you fighting to eliminate the NYC franchise - fools! That means none of us will have jobs.
