Ok soooooo this is what I've learned!
Tuition assistance program isn't Assistance at all! In fact, we are charged imputed income tuition grant is a made up term. I am working with a tax lawyer now to take this company down on the fraud and negligence! Legally, if a company provides an assistant scholarship or grant, there are no tax implications! What at your thoughts? Also, my 1098-t form is wrong and fraud. It has put me under investigation with the IRS to which I owe almost $5000! EDMC is getting two tax breaks by submitting fake documents to the IRS which state that they are providing their employees with scholarships and or grants, while in reality they are paying us in education dollars, where we are actually paying for it as "imputed income." EDMC you can't f---ing have a double dip, it's either one or the other! Is it a scholarship or income? Check your tax forms asap and take this company down!!!!
