Has anyone heard the outcome of the hearing? Silence can't be a good sign.

Most are talked into enrolling with the promise of the stipend check each month. Recruiters are trained to use the line, "We will pay you to go to school". Now how can you turn that down?

Cbhx- Students still enrolled probably fall into one of these broad categories: 1. Waiting/hoping for their campus to close putting them in good position for loan forgiveness. If they just quit they are stuck. 2. Hooked on the stipend money and unwilling to walk away, even though they have no intention of repaying. 3. Legitimately trying to finish under the questionable assumption that the degree will help land a good job. 4. Completely clueless and blindly wandering through their program - and life in general. Anyone who had enrolled in the last 12-24 months probably fits here.

To bqtr,

My God, there are 10,000 stupid students that still give Everest money for a worthless degree? Unbelievable how they find them.

This truly is a sham on the American taxpayer. Where is the press in covering this story? This story needs to be told.

Online is not accepting any more enrollments and is in teach out. Total student population for Zenith Education Group has dropped to under ten thousand students with no improvement in sight. More closings are in the works and will be announced soon.

23 campuses remain out of the 56 they took over in February 2015. ECMC claim they have profited almost TWO BILLION DOLLARS from the DOE on student loan collections since then. Not a bad deal to make a 300% return on your investment in a little over 2 years. Zenith Education Group has been a sham on the American tax payers from the very beginning.

How many schools are still in the Zenith network? If it's true that they lost $480 million the board could have authorized $10,000 for 48,000 students as scholarships to attend a school that actually helps them learn something and get a job. It is increasingly obvious that ECMC had a sweetheart deal with DOE to get billions of dollars in collections in order to take on these crap schools. I realize that students have to be accountable for making a wise choice it is time for the board and DOE and the accreditors to do the right thing and shut this place down. Enough is enough.

The board of directors are debating whether to keep trying to get these 12 schools accredited or to consolidate what they can and teach out the others. The news of ACICS is hurting enrollment at these schools causing the population to spiral downward which really hurts the bottom line. Zenith lost 200 million year one, 180 million year two and were hoping to lose no more than 100 million this year, but these schools are losing cash big time.

I heard that the Minnesota attorney general is reviewing Zenith and ECMC.

Things could get a little heated for Zenith and ECMC, heard they tried to buy their way to accreditation with ACCSC and were turned down.

But the students who signed up for this joke of a school have to accept a large portion of blame. The information has been out there for a long time that this school is a joke and the degrees are worthless. Its just disgraceful it is still getting students.

Good! Leadership doesn't listen to what it takes to improve. Its just the bottom line. And TO should be shot. How is the VP of Ops? Just an arrogant donkey who probably carries a mirror on his shoulder and pats himself daily on the back. He must be a descendent of J. Astor! I have a new found faith in ACCSC.

2.5 years later and completion rates and placement rates are still so poor that they can't be accredited? Time to put this place to bed...permanently.

Any school that is accredited by ACICS had 18 months from December 2016 to aquire new accreditation.

Why 14 months. Shut them off now.

ACCSC denied the accreditation for all 12 Everest schools. They are not meeting graduation or placement requirements. Zenith still has 14 months to improve these numbers before title IV funding gets pulled.
