Was asked from a web question point blank due to the announcement of spending cuts. Each BU has to figure out their own solution. After dancing around the question a bit, he acknowledge while no corporate wide mandate of layoffs like ACT, there most likely would be headcount reductions in his org under PEG. Unsure if this means US based or international or both... can't see international considering the the increased ramp rate of hiring in sites like Bangalore.

Only site not bothered will be India - last year when they transferred majority of the Japan site work to India - I said f--- this company as that is just sticking it too non-Indians
Let the games begin!
Haha. This is a 60K personnel company at best which means lots of shaving to get to that number. Their new business failures and $$$ waste simply can't support 100+ K employees.
Head count reduction will NOT be based on performance. You need to see all the video not only the Q&A part. DH said several times that if the projects are not profitable they will be terminated. If your project is not giving money you are in the chopping block regardless of your performance.
Required ACTs have begun 😉
Sounds right -- in this manner it can be done stealthfully with blame placed on the business unit that will be labeled as "not maintaining cost discipline".
"It's not our mandate" will be the corporate-level excuse.
For those that do not want to see the whole video... Go directly to 1:00:05
There will be layoffs that are a unannounced without packages.
In other words, there will be layoffs...we just won't call them layoffs.
Yep
10nm FUBAR and continued decline of x86 will absolutely lead to more great ACTs
People don't want to believe but it is true folks, got a plan as BK don't give a phuck for you!
