Thread regarding Capgemini layoffs

Indian IT

There are sizable number of people in IT who are racist. Promotions are either by language or by caste.

The thumb rule in many IT companies is that if one is a Boss's pet he/she can behave as if they are a law unto themselves. All these guys are good at using jargons like "Value add" , "Value proposition", "Behave like a professional" and sporting flashy accent , but you go in depth, they are good for nothing guys.

Don't expect IT sector to be a world of roses. It is a shamelessly dog eat dog culture, brutal without any emotions. One considers his right to be selfish and others' duty to be generous. Don't expect certifications to bring laurels. Only one thing works here - lick, lick and lick. There are guys who are on bench for more than 9 months and getting promoted. Appraisal is purely based on perception and not on facts.
