Our only chance to stop the madness at SS is for us all to work together. Report event layoff on here. No matter how small---1 person or 200. Report everything.
Report moves of divisions. Report requests to train someone overseas in your current job.
Any comment we over hear--any rumor we come across--report it here.
We must unite and stay United in face of the oppression that we are facing.
Stronger together brave State Street worker. stronger together.
I agree with your post since I am also a former State Street employee. Although, I believe that this is different because they claim they are laying off so many in the next 3 years. Of course, 7,000 employees really aren't that many for a company the size of State Street. Unless most of the layoffs are in the Boston area. With all of the jobs lost in the financial services industry because of outsourcing and moving jobs to other global locations it has become exceedingly difficult for anyone looking to advance and especially for the younger generation.
Wake up people!
They are forcing people out by making it miserable their moving whole divisions out making things unsettling!
It is not going to get better here....
People people as a former worker, SST is not going to do massive layoffs all at once
They will do small stealth layoffs of 20 to 50 people at a time, to avoid it making the news
You slowly get rid of a few people at a time so nobody notices what is going on.
If they had a substantial amount of layoffs it would have been published in the local newspapers.
Can you please clarify; did people get laid off this week?
This isn't fake
While division moving cause major upset planned attrition style lay off
You can pretend this isn't happening but it IS happening and it is happening NOW
What's going on
I'm out. Cut. Bloodbath. This is so bad.
