Sidney Nebraska is facing tremendous problems in regard to the future which is going to take a miracle to get thru . Most major media outlets in this nation has spoke of the potential financial ruins Sidney could face in the future. The city council has basically choose to make no comments or have a discussion of any kind about Sidney lifeline Cabela's . Now the latest policy on pubic comment. Ed Sadler first wanted pubic comments limited to getting approval from Ed Sadler before any one could get on the agenda to speak . Now the policy has been changed to a person can make a comment at the city council . However city officials are forbidden from having any discussion on issues with the pubic and must reply " thank you for your comment. " MEMORIAL DAY IS MAY 29 . HOW ABOUT WE HONOR THOSE WHO FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM. HOW ABOUT ESCORTING ED SADLER TO THE DOOR NEXT COUNCIL MEETING OUT OF RESPECT FOR THOSE VETS WHO FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM.

I guess my question to the poster do you ever discuss a post or just make your insults. I made the comments in regard to memorial day because in my opinion millions of men we honor on memorial day died so you and I could enjoy our freedom in this nation . I guess to you when our city manager state I forbid the pubic speaking at a council meeting unless I approve you to be on the agenda. Latter this is changed to the pubic and can make a comment but the council and city officials need to say "thank you for your comment " and they can not interact in a discussion with the pubic at the meeting. I have attended hundreds of council meetings and state hearings in forty years. Not one time at a county or city meeting was the pubic every forbidden to speak or the elected officials ever forbidden to discuss issues with the pubic. In state hearing sometimes the pubic offered testimony however the state review members COULD COMMENT OR ASK QUESTIONS TO THE PUBIC IF CHOOSE. I have no ideal where you are getting me confused with someone else in Cabela's got rid of me. this is totally false. I guess to you this is lack of basic human logic to think America is made great by the freedoms we have to attend meetings and inter react with our elected officials and discuss policies which are approved. I know you think our city manager need to governor at council meetings WITHOUT ANY QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBIC AT THE COUNCIL MEETING . IN THE HISTORY OF SIDNEY NEBRASKA THE PUBIC HAS HAD THE RIGHT TO ATTEND EVERY COUNCIL MEETING AND INTER REACT WITH THE COUNCIL ON ISSUES UNTIL NOW. I DO NOT SUPPORT THE NEW POLICY

This city manager who looks totally unqualified is on a power trip. I would like to see guidelines for the city council be restored to previous years where the pubic can attend a meeting and have inter reactions with the council on proposed solutions to problems. I was thinking of perhaps a petition drive or perhaps a boycott of Sidney if the guidelines on not restored to previous years.

I am curious I guess the poster thought It was a big joke to expect the council to carry on as it has for the history of Sidney as a council who is elected to serve the pubic. who over the years has answered and responded to pubic comment . the truth is we have probably the most in compliment city manager in the history of Sidney. He is terrified his policies could come under attack or be questioned. His defense would not stand up to anything of an attack because his policy's are so weak . when is Sidney going to wake up and get someone who has some kind of plans or ideals to solve Sidney problems.
