Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

The new normal will be ongoing cuts until simpler org is actually known

Short term expect further ongoing cuts bi quarterly usually March and October are the timelines.

There will be a real push to continue to evaluate the need for fte vs smaller core fte and scale up down through contractors again.

Simply means the new normal is look over your shoulder and likely your boss does not have the best interest of the company or yours but actually their own income statement.

Dog eat dog world.

Too many processes and too many managers at Shell. Takes months to get basically nothing done cause every manager wants their paw in everything. Very inefficient. Some call it job security

People at Shell don't stab their buddies in the back because it is a dog eat dog world, they do it because they are F---ing backstabbers. Like the commercial says... 'When you are a backstabber you're gonna f---ing stab some poor slob whenever you can, because... That's what you do.

Thanks RDS for reducing humankind just a little more every day. I look forward to seeing you all face down in the mud and gore.
