What are the chances of a former proven employee laid off in 2015 getting a job in Erie? Answer: no chance, that would be admitting a management mistake, which is never made.

I am sorry to say for all those who want to see Erie gone that facility is not going anywhere, they have dumped a lot money into that facility over the last few years especially into the test facility which is know world wide and that is grandfathered in, to move that test loop would be impossible with today's EPA regulations and FMC is not going to give up that test stand. They are also hiring if you know anyone looking.

Manager cuts in Erie: I will believe it when I see it. Good ole boy network is too strong for that. But when you consider how many grunts (people who really knew something) where tossed out the door manager cuts make sense. Is there any product knowledge left there?

About time ... place has a manager for every 1 to 2 workers. Ridiculous .... Everyone wants to be a code 21 manager. No one wants to do any of the grunt work.

It's been sold several times over the last 35 years. Might not be a bad outcome for all. PD, turbine and ultrasonic meters do not fit in well with TechnipFMC business model. It may thrive under new ownership.
