Several associates were let go yesterday with a bunch more coming this week. Layoffs always seem to happen when the summer interns have arrived. It sends a poor message to the interns.

DST used to be a good place to work. It has no chance of competing for IT talent and is delusional when it tries to rationalize that the reason is a lack of talent in the area. Nope! It's just that nobody with talent would touch that place. Layoff's today - confirmed. They've cooked their goose. Hope CEO goes down with the ship.
Rumor is more coming in October, they must feel the need to hire more VP's. Especially in HR
Same happening at BFDS (now DST) this week. Tough to see good people losing their jobs, and likely knowing the Hooley brothers will line their pockets with the DST/BFDS merger.
BFDS was a good place to work many years ago, but much like DST - both companies have been managing contraction for years now and its taken its toll on the employees and their morale.
Seriously I don't know how some of them can sleep at night - hopefully the bad managers will reap the bad karma they've sowed.
