My team and I were predicting layoffs today at DOS. Has anyone heard anything going down?

does anyone know what is DeVryTech?
Looking at some job search engines and there are all sorts of positions posted for DeVry, CCN, and Adtalem. Have there been that many laid off or quit? Why do they change the name up between DeVry and Adtalem on these posts?
It is best if everyone who works at Devry takes the company off their resume and lists another company name that might be similar like the general corporate name. DeVry is a school that abuses its employees. Other employers will not touch anyone who has worked there because they assume they are as incompetent and abusive as the Devry managers, and they do not want to hire "bad apples." It is guilt by association.
It's just sad that you now expect layoffs all the time. That should tell you everything you need to know about this company. It's become pretty predictable, and not in a good way. Management can tout the whole "we care about our colleagues" BS all they want, but no one is buying it when you have constant layoffs looming overhead. It just makes for an oppressive work culture and the opposite of colleague- friendly.
I don't even tell people that I'm associated with DeVry. I will use the new name and give a vague idea of what it is. Doing the same on my resume because having DeVry on it was not getting me any interviews elsewhere.
Aren't there only like 2 ppl left at dos who work for facilities?
@NTNnYtJ-9mim "At DOS, they will contract it out like they try to everything else. That never goes well, but you can't tell them that. The lowly peons, sorry I mean colleagues, don't know anything so heaven forbid they ask for opinions or ideas from the commonfolk."
I said to my leadership that even my pet has pattern recognition, so what was the challenge?
Silence in response.
[I leave reader to their own conclusion]
If they are facilities at a campus, I would take that as a bad sign that they may not be keeping that campus open much longer. At DOS, they will contract it out like they try to everything else. That never goes well, but you can't tell them that. The lowly peons, sorry I mean colleagues, don't know anything so heaven forbid they ask for opinions or ideas from the commonfolk.
Ok...if facilities goes...who keeps the rooms in order?
I can concur that facilities teams are being laid off soon. Who will be next...
Offer a great education to engaging students at a competitive price & students & profits will roll in--what is stopping Devry? Why can't they compete--they need to roll up their sleeves, abandon outdated thoughts & make it happen.
Which campus?
Layoffs happened at my Chamberlain campus today. Management tries to keep it a secret however employees do talk to each other. If you are interviewing for this company run the other way. The company says they care for thier employees but this a lie. At the end of the day they are a for profit company looking to make a profitIs. Not a stable company to work for.
At what location??
Facilities teams wiped out across system.
They usually don't make it a public spectacle. They stick to smaller groups which draws less attention.
I would expect layoffs at the campuses before DOS since they have had a few small rounds of layoffs already this year.
Nothing.
