Thread regarding Kellogg Co. layoffs

Why do you dislike Walmart so much?

This is a honest question - I work for a major insurance company that's currently going through restructuring and layoffs. I visit other boards on this site, and you seem to have a busy board so I read this every other day. Anyhow - I see a lot of dislike for Walmart here - Can someone help me understand what makes you feel that way.

I am not judging or trying to troll, I am genuinely interested in what's going on and what kind of business moves by Wamart are making you feel this way.

All the best.

Like the others have suggested, WalMart is run by arrogant pricks. They treat vendors like crap, almost as though asking for floor space for a display is stealing from them. Some of the older, long-time members of management actually have a little card in the collection of cards under their name tags that says "Just say NO to vendors." I had to approach a grocery manager (guy named Bob who had 20-30 years with WM) about a display one time and he showed it to me. Didn't say a word, just flashed the card. Pricks. Hardly surprising when their company logo looks like a big yellow a--hole.

Lack of communication is also a big problem. On the rare occasions that a display is ok'd, we will set it up and on our next trip into the store, it will be in the backroom, replaced by some other display given the ok by a different member of management. And then they b--ch about too much backstock.

One of the bread guys and I used to joke that if either of us ever heard that there was a massive fire in the store we serviced, we were each others' alibi.

Wal Mart management is trained to "bully" vendors. They rule their associates with an iron fist and expect everyone to bow and cater to them. The moment you put on a Wal Mart vest, they make you feel superior to others even if you're getting paid minimum wage. As a soon to be former Kellogg's employee, I am so glad to not have to service Wal Marts again.

China Mart is a community destroyer. Also we the tax paying majority subsidize ChinaMart employees Healthcare. ChinaMart employees make so little they can't afford Healthcare so we the taxpayer end up paying, thru gvmnt programs, for a vast majority of their Healthcare costs. Do you realize that if Trump's proposed tax breaks go thru the Waltons will receive Billions, yes Billions, in tax breaks. Fact check me. I may be wrong.
