Now that the 1ZB per week has been implemented. How long before corporate rolls out the IS moving to part time?

Well now changing everything and pretending they are making the work load easier is BS and we all know that. They are doing this now because after BTS all will most likely go PT I am sure. Because they cut all the FT's years back the people they bring in are only there two days a week, they don't give a crap if they are putting stuff out in the right spot, for 10-15 hours a week? Why would they care, its not like they are checked up on they spend more time watching certs than learning just how to read a damn sku. The have managers on conference calls 2+ hours 4 times a week talking about getting more LA or Tech Dollars or Phone Repairs or More Accounts or this and that and the other, but make sure you pay attention to the floor too, so keep the focus is what they tell them. The meaning of Focus is one thing not 50, I have seen this from a company or two before when they are twisting in the wind to hold on, and they are about at the stage where they get "bought" out and then sold off and closed to recoup dollars, downsized and then followed by liquidation.
"never had a write up yet" - unfortunately this means nothing. When they want you gone the write-ups and PIPs and action plans will come fast and furious.
I worked there 11 years and had Above Expectation evals for 10 of them, No write ups. Then every keyholder in my store received a note to file one day because the GM did not like the condition of the store after their day off. I was off that day too - STILL got a note to file. SM decides to re-do the toner section on his closing shift, leaves it 3/4 empty. I get in trouble for it, I left at 5 that day, he started tearing it apart after I left.
SVP coming the next day, SM tears apart Apple section and then leaves at 5, saying he's going to eat, never comes back that day - I get in trouble for leaving it like that after busting my a-- to get O/S perfect.
Evals come around - I get below expectations and put on a PIP and termed in 3 months. Didn't sign final PIP action plan/termination notice - won unemployment even though Staples tried to dispute.
NEVER sign the write ups.
Yeah I would agree since I have been doing IS job for years now it slowly is going to go PT with increased work load? Dropping to one scan a week is a move to focus on just doing Pull Lists in the morning etc every morning, and then there is the damages and the rtw's rtv's pulling in the truck sorting the truck and if you have a key putting away all the High Risk stuff. I am sure they will start to document you if the floor is not full or not correct but I will not sign anything have never had a write up yet and will not sign one for nonsense like that. They will be screwed with this next inventory cycle for sure.
Last laugh :) is coming Rvp's ,Dm's and butt Kissing Gm's the rope is getting tight . Unethical Pieces of SxxxS !
So true don't let them intimated you with the write up they want make examples out of associates Mgrs and keep them from getting unemployment .Dms are shaking in their boots they don't care about anyone but themselves.
DMs are crapping their pants because their jobs are finally on the line.
Don't sign the write ups , as said. I didn't sign final and got unemployment. Manager in next store over signed his and got denied.
Oh yeah look out DMs are rampage telling Gms to hand out write up's to anyone not perforning in csat, esp, cellphone, repair liquid armor, the copy center rush fee, market basket ,ink to printer ink to paper, more accounts . Don't sign anything that just saves them from pay out unemployment benefits.
@NSmFwIP-tff - Exactly as you posted. The good GMs in my region were all chased out by VS. They were replaced by guys that know nothing but work cheaper. They are basically just job hoppers that do not care. SMs don't give a damn about the ZB, as long as ink and toner are full. They will pull red shirts out of O/S to fill ink, leaving O/S a disaster.
I remember being a IS I Had to open the store check emails count the safe and put the tills out shoot the zero and the research and handle corporate damages returns help customer and ring at register and get chewed out about the score and why was i not completing the research. It was hard when the closing mgr left the store looking like crap and the gm came in at 9 and was clueless about zero balance. overheads overfilling with crap tags on the shelf missing . DM would come and act like a man child and try to scold us about the scan he would grab a RF gun and walk up and down the aisle like a maniac looking for outs with no tags or outs with inventory . oh yeah with no payroll and 14 pallets in warehouse
Sounds correct. If you are an IS, and realize they are going to screw you, I'd load up the inventory. Don't short it, they'd notice that right away. Load it up! It will cost them 10s of thousands per store, if not 100s.
The IS in many stores is a long term associate, obviously not in all of them. Staples has already pushed out my tenured associates. The ones that stick it out and deal with all the BS do so because they'd have a hard time finding another FT job at their pay rate.
My guess is Staples wants to drive out the rest of the >$13 hr ISs and then make the position part time after BTS or at the end of 2017 / start of 2018,
