Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

MESSAGE TO AUSA TECHS

Yesterday June 19th, was the deadline to send in the paperwork requiring you to make a selection of either choosing to relocate to a another depot or choosing to take a severance package.

Now is not the time to discuss the ethics of what Altice is doing right now. The mere fact that they're giving you 3 business days to make a decision of this magnitude is outrageous.

What we're suggesting is that any AUSA technician that feel as though they are being pressured or forced into an undesirable working situation to make a statement to HR and let them know exactly that.

Send email immediately to Human Resources.

Let them know that although you already signed the paperwork, that you did so under extreme duress. Be sure to take a snapshot of the sent email to have as your evidence.

Please do not disregard what's being done here. This matter is already being reviewed and the company may be in violation so it is very important to make your voice be heard right now.

Research the legal term "Constructive Discharge"

God Bless.

the point was to simply have a record of how the employees feel as they're signing that Altice document.

"get a clue?"

most of you have absolutely no clue what's been going on behind the scenes.

Kauff Maguire & Margolis is the law firm representing both Spectrum and Altice and they're knee deep in doodoo right now.

Do you have a clue about the NYC Franchise Agreement? How about the PSC? or even the NLRB?

it's alright... way above your head.

...and HR will do WHAT exactly? They're tools of management and can't or won't do anything to help the techs.
