The DOE just killed "Borrower to Defense Repayment" regulation and "Gainful Employment" regulation - good times are back. Now, let's try to destroy even more lives, push those loans even more, give them useless degrees and create even more misery for folks who are messed up already. Good job DOE.

It depends how you look at it - ultimately, who do you want to make decisions for you - the government or yourself?
There is no right or wrong answer here, we have different preferences and sometimes things that hurt are the things that protect us the most.
I really do not want the gov to be more involved in my life, yet, I do get your point as many folks did get and are still getting hurt by predatory behaviors of some folks in our industry.
I agree this country is becoming more screwed up by the day. Nobody is trying to do good for the everyday citizen. If you don't have money then you don't count, pretty much rules the day now.
