Was it Microsoft? I had heard Verizon.
Yeah, everyone knew about Microsoft several months ago.... well, everyone but the OP and the guy who ranted about parts and labor.
what you mean Microsoft, cloudline, no mystery there
She does it by accepting NEGATIVE returns on investments in parts and labor, to selected large customers! Yes, that's right! Never mind taxes and costs of development and facilities (overhead) and bonuses for Meg and all that... Add up JUST the costs of parts and labor, then sell to a customer for LESS than that! And get all "Socratic" on your employees, when said employees ask Her about Her foolishness of this type... Ask the questioners, "Do you know the difference between reverse accrual debenture bonds, and inverted-hysteresis reverse-polarized resistive hormesis?" (The implication of asking such"Socratic" questions of your target is simply this: "See, I can ask you questions that you can NOT answer, so, CLEARLY, I am WAAAY smarter than YOU, you fool!" I have the upper hand, and do NOT forget that!)
Yes, Meg did that kind of thing at a recent company-wide speech of Hers... I kid you not! I could even ID the large customer who got the deep-deep discount, but that might be stepping over the boundaries (of too much disclosure) here...
After the deep-deep discounts, though, said customer blew boooogers all over HPE anyway, and stopped buying... Well I guess that's actually financially GOOD, since it will stop some of the bleeding... As far as buying ANY kind of "good will" or exposure for HPE products, though, in the long run, it is a huge FLOP!
