Layoffs are happening everywhere at Syntel I for one got to know that I have been laid off last week, was asked to resign or be terminated. Initially was given 4 days which was later revised to a month. . And the reason given was my role is redundant and can be done by a lower cost resource. It's happening at all levels and everyone has got a target to reduce headcount.

What about risk, ODC, IS, Finance, Audit, Admin, Travel, PDAC... These are all support departments...they need to go too..
Why only bench guys...
What about support Sept's, like IS, QA, Admin, Risk, Travel, ODC, blah blah.. We have 1000's of employees here...
What about Recruitment, Pretty Sales girls, VP's fornamesake and idiot DM and DD...
It surely is a case of buyout...
Someone out there is talking with Syntel for a buyout offer for sure...
Even HR position also wastage.. Resignation & clearance also automated. How 3rd party vendor is for housekeeping activity we can have single digit people in HR function from them and remove all the HR people. They are not doing any work, simply enjoying life by getting high package. No need to tell about CEO, BUH, DD and DM People. Total mess. First clean these people.
Syntel is cleaning wastage, you must be a wastage.
