It seems like EIS is just hanging there. Any rumors to whether McKesson will sell their EIS this fall - and really I mean just the few customers who are still on Paragon, as the product isn't worth much. Not sure how long they can just keep those customers hanging onto the Paragon product before offering the hospitals in a EIS sale deal.

The comment ' just the few customers who are still on Paragon' is a joke. There are well over 200 customers on Paragon. Who ever writes this crap doesn't know what they are talking about.

Must be getting close to an announcement of the sale of EIS with all the unknown suits in the Charlotte office this week and all the managers in closed meetings.
Paragon cannot be sold with any other McK App. This is so the cost of Paragon is kept to a minimum. Actually Paragon cannot run by itself and needs these other Apps, but by the time the customer realizes this, customer has already signed up and committed to Paragon. Paragon then turns into one of those money pits. If your local hospital uses Paragon or McK apps, I would definitely be looking for another local healthcare facility.
Yes, Paragon as the "Go Forward" strategy failed. Probably wouldn't even be discussing this "if" HzERM had not had such a long gestation period. These past "mistakes" cannot be amended at this point. McKesson's corporate history is full of examples of buying and selling companies, the formation of "McK-Change" took all the SaaS and Services leaving McK-EIS holding the "Old Mades", traditional software model (McK codes it, customer deploys it with the help of McK Services, McK supports it, rinse lather repeat) EIS service's are a shadow of their former selves. Looking forward the move towards more of MSO Hosted model could be the "cowbell" in the cash cow, I say look for more "cowbell". The hosted model and becoming more of a ASP could pay and play well with these assets. Yes, the herd has thinned and the buyers evaluating are down to the last few, whatever is the holding up the seal on the deal may be the "bidding war" or "best fit" proposal. Going private or absorbed by a public company? Dunno, but they have been hard at work to get it done...
Rumors I have heard potential companies that may buy us are Google or Phillips Healthcare. The announcement was supposed to be on 6/28 but now it's going to be sometime in July.
And it seems that everything except Paragon and HPF or MPF or One Content... whatever the flavor is this month has moved over to the new ChangeHealthcare.
However Paragon and HPF have stayed back as part of a smaller division. Just wondering if this is so it can be sold easier? I believe it is PF2 EIS now.... so something has to give... or take...
Some product lines in EIS have hundreds of customers and 1000+ facilities. While paragon has struggled to expand outside of small hospitals not all of EIS has that problem. Something will be announced this summer, but no idea what it will be or whom it will affect.
