I guess many people did not need to wait till 19th, many people I know from different projects/teams from Fort Collins (10), Palo Alto (2) and some remote workers (4) got WFR today, including myself.
Not sure if other teams/sites got affected, but this are the numbers I know.

HPE will continue to struggle until major changes are made at the Sr. level. Too many Sr. managers who don't understand the business they are managing. They in turn hire others who have no clue...and so on. Hiring is based on friendships and politics instead of background and achievement. WFR's happen with no collaboration or communication with customers. You couldn't make the stuff I've seen up...it would be funny if so many people weren't impacted.

You are right, the number in FtC continue to grown, from what I saw is probably close to 45 including Manager, Developers, Lab team...

Believe in yourself.. it's never easy to be part of WFR .. as an outsider before joining HP, I went through multiple WFRs from 2007-2012.
Be glad you are out of the mess! I sincerely felt the leadership at HP is one of the worst I have ever experienced. Take it from someone has over 20 years of both full time and consulting IT management experience.

Particularly it is not over a span of 2 weeks, but multiple weeks. Do you remember which companies laid off people 4-5 weeks ago?
I am not saying it is right, but it is certainly, for better or worse, the way it is. I quit HP (that is even before HP split into HP Inc and HPE) long time ago. My advice is this. Don't wait till they drop you. It is a lot less stressful if you are looking for a job while you have one, not to mention, you probably can pick and choose a bit too. Nothing like a gap in our CV turns us into desperate people.

BTW, this kind of thing... Parceling out the layoffs in dribbles and drabs... Is very old hat by now. It avoids the bad press (in the eyes of the public if not the stockholders, many of whom have been fooled into thinking "more layoffs is always better")... Bad press being "10,000 laid off today". For some crazy reason, "5,000 laid off 1 week ago", then "5,000 laid off today", just seems more palatable... Is the short-term memory of the press and of the public, so poor that they cannot add 5,000 and 5,000 over the span of 2 weeks? ... Or is it merely the memory of The Donald that is getting snowed, as He issues His tweet-storms concerning other assorted matters? Don't ask me; Ah Dunno...
