Thread regarding Syntel Inc. layoffs

Syntel in survival mode

I have no doubt that Syntel now is in survival mode. Employees are least of the concern for the company right now. I got the confirmation when couple of 15+ years Syntel resources where asked to leave US the day after the project end date. My only advice to everyone is that this is not the time to be optimistic, be smart and try to find something better for yourself.

This was long due, if you have a group of leaders who reached top position just by working x numbers of years and by political favor, then the quality was supposed to go down south without any doubt! I know leaders who can't talk properly!!

Don't trust your Syntel leaders, they are fooling you. There are only handful of leaders who are capable but unfortunately it takes much more than that.

Again, don't wait for there call and be proactive. Good luck!

All DD, DM in Syntel only do Excel related work. They don't understand basic programming, design or Database.

These guys should be laid off now. I this Agile environment we don't need these unskilled high pay employees.

It's high DM, DD, EM, ED, start performing and get projects...if the layoff continues there would be hardly any skilled employee left to do work.

Common you morons do some work.. Please...

Yes true they are only targeting Experienced Tech Employees , Upper management is showing their managerial skill by replacing Seniors with freshers.

Due to above all activities client & hard working employees are loosing confidence on Syntel .

and adding to that they have more worst promotion criteria, they are not considering high performing techie employees under promotion criteria, only dump guy's who know how to skip work on other head and having third eye of manager are getting promotion every year irrespective of project performance.

Yes true, Syntel is in bad shape. But not for BU Heads, VP, DD etc. and those in support projects..it's only the techie staff that's being laid-off....

The whole company needs a big makeover to stand up again this time....
