Is this sham of a company giving retirement packages to people with a lot of time with the company? How about the people who've only been there for a few years? Is there a severance package? Unemployment doesn't pay people enough to live.

If you get paid severance in installments you won't be able to collect unemployment, until that is exhausted, the company would rather do that due to the idiot tech who gave them the idea.

Lump sum payment is not a option with this Company, I know due to one of the ex employees whom was given severance pay. Oh the tax is ridiculous 47% of your pay goes to that. Your expected to pay your medical and other expenses out of the rest. Meanwhile their probably making money off of the lump sum money. There should of been an option to choose how you wanted to be paid.
