What's going to happen to Munich and Nuremberg sites? Any plans to close them?

Sorry for misunderstanding when I said German sites are the best modems teams - I meanst ofcourse within intel, and didnt compare with Qualcomm. Ofcourse Qualcomm has been and probably still is miles ahead of intel. My question would be, if intel closes Munich/Nuremmberg, do you expect Qualcomm teams to join intel, intel buying qualcomm, or intel leaving mdoems totally ? Or you expect intel San Jose to replace German sites ?
Of course Qualcomm and Intel's modems have different specifications - Intel is clearly inferior. You're using twisted logic here.
Qualcomm and Intel are separate companies and their modems have different specifications. It was Apple's decision that both modems would fit the iPhone7. You are barking up the wrong tree.
Munich and Nuremberg teams designed the XMM7360 modem used in iphone 7 which is widely regarded to be inferior to the Qualcomm modem. Stop bragging.
Munich and Nürnberg are the best modem teams. How you wanna replace them, with San Jose ? Forget it, they are not even close to the German sites :)

they are the innovating people. Good infrastructure for winning design , good engineers ,
Better not to loose such highly talented engineers in these sites by replacing H1B's who are working round the clock without any value to product.
Munich is still alive for business unit acquired from Infineon ( mobile chip and WLAN division)
German sites you mentioned are the primary design sites for iCDG. They wI'll remain forever. It is the American sites that need to worry.
There have been plans for a long time, they have just never been executed. Now that iCDG is on budget lockdown once again, those plans will be re-evaluated. But from what I gleaned from management in the past, these sites will survive for as long as iCDG exists.
They are closed a year ago.
