Thread regarding Kellogg Co. layoffs

Sad, Upset, Hurt, Mentally Damaged

As I sit here typing up this message I have tears in my eyes. I am shocked at how this transition is actually playing out. People are leaving right and left and the company had not one solid back up plan to back fill the people who are leaving the company. The mental damage this has done to me and some very good people that I know have really hurt and changed our lives for the worse

Stores are still calling in and complaining like crazy and we have no honest answer to tell them. People are overly frustrated and giving up. People who were lazy and never did sh-- anyway are now being exposed for who they really are and can no longer hide behind the good ole boy system. They are still hiding and not giving a sh-- and letting the people who are still trying and care to do even more work even though they do not have a job after the last day worked.

This is a very sad time. I was not asked to stay after the transition and if I had the opportunity to stay I don't think that I would. To those of you who were offered the new roles good luck to you. Remember these people are sales people and it is in their job description to sell. They will sell you some b---s--- lies in a heartbeat just how they have been doing for the last number of years.

People have resulted to lying and trying to hurt peoples names for the sake of getting a new job. What do you expect when over 6000 people lose their job and only 10-15 new jobs post? cut throat!

Mark my words Kellogg's/Keebler will be sold off in around two years time if not sooner

They are all to scared to speak up. Scared for their jobs. Well thru their continued silence they may lose their jobs. Hiring kids strate out of college to make decisions at store level smart move also. They have no idea what goes on in a store and don't understand store culture. Loading up stores to make a number stock price ain't gonna happen anymore. Kelloggs will see what real business they did and their probably ain't going to be close to what they think. It would be interesting to see what kind of over inventory they are sitting on out there in backrooms. Are the accounts going to want to be Zero inventory in backrooms when it goes to warehouse? Well that's going to be a blood bath for the reps that load up to make their number. Reminds me of Enron. A house cards. Nobody spoke up and if they did fired. Ignoring store is fatal flaw.

K's failure to anticipate personel losses is another example of bad planning. Plenty of work went into planning for this to justify the move but much of it was based on flawed assumptions. This has been a problem for years because of yes man culture. Shame on Sales Leadership

I think we all have to realize and internalize that Kelloggs could care less about each and every one of else. We are just considered overhead. We (DSD) have no advocate or champion in the leadership team. Kelloggs is a warehouse company and has been for decades. They only know warehouse and only value the warehouse model. DSD could have come 150% to budget last year and cereal 50% to budget and the leadership would still make the same decision to end the DSD model. Any dissenting views are ferreted out and squashed. Any dissenting opinions kept to one self in fear of your job. I am just perplexed with the loyalty some people have to this company. Wake up: Kelloggs has no loyalty to its employees. No matter what from here on out I'm working as close to 40 hrs as possible. I'll do my job but 40 hrs is the best they are going to get out of me.
