Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Best thing i ever did was leave HPE.

The place is a joke by and large anyway. Full of lazy and incompetence dregs. Not everyone is like that and many are hard working but a lot are not and enough to effect the image of the place. Got a really good severance payout almost two years ago and haven't looked back.

there hr dept was very good in dealing with my batch of wfrs. I have to admit. two years later i am working now in landscaping and gardening and luv the outdoors.( I did do IT for 18 months after hp but got bored same crap different colour) Pay is good also. Not quite as good as it but your hours are good, no stress, fun and u get fit and vitamin c in the sun !!. point is there ia life after wfr hp. Just have to find it wherever it be it or something else. Good luck to you all.

Jeebus people -- be nice! The poster was trying to say there is life after HP/HPE and don't remain in a negative environment. You will find a happier existence. HP/HPE was draining, demeaning and demoralizing. I appreciate what the original poster has to say. The rest of you negative ninny's are apparently getting what you deserve. 'tep' -- when you are out of a job and dumped on the street, I hope our paths cross so I can ridicule you since you seem so cavalier under the veil of an anonymous response environment.

LOL @N6mWRRP-kjf

You really think that this is the place to see how things going for your friends that are still working at HPE? If you really think that, so sorry, you seen to be so dumb.

Btw, if you worry about your friends, and if they are real, go and talk with your friends, you really think that posting in the place will really help your friends? Funny…

Have a good end of the day.

@N6mWRRP-kjf - We pop back on this board to see how things are going for our former colleagues, many of whom are good friends, and to remind others that there are great opportunities outside of HPE - better paying jobs where you are treated with respect.

I can say that after 7 months, I still enjoy going into work; my employer goes out of their way to enable us with real training, tools... I got a bonus and a raise (I already was making 20% more than I was at HPE) and my leaders encourage my career path upward. It is a 180deg difference from the way I was treated (and felt) under HPE.

I worry that too many of my former colleague suffer from some form of Stockholm Syndrome, or are just too afraid to take the risk of a new job. I concur with the OP here... there is life after HPE. If you are here at TheLayoff, you must realize that HPE is not loyal to you (or you are HR shills trying to counter the info posted here)

One of the reasons why I keep on coming back is to warn other people to NOT hire on at HPE, if there is ANY other sensible choice! Warning other people of the "stumbling blocks" in the path ahead of them, should they chose that path, is something of an ethical-moral imperative, in my mind... Large portions of HPE are nothing these days, other than a giant stumbling block!

Most people say they are happy after leaving HPE because they got WFR most of the time, but the funny thing as mentioned in the previous post is that people continue coming back here and I can only think about two reasons (1) People still miss the company and the mess/fun/crazy/crap (whatever you want to call it)... (2) People are still mad and can’t move on.

I am not sure why people left HP two years ago and still post comment here. If you really move on and enjoy your current job, you won't bother to spend a moment to check this site. Perhaps you really hate HP or somehow you miss HP.
