Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Unqualified IT personnel

I've been seeing Shells's chemical engineer rejects taking over IT jobs at STCH. Who's hiring these people for these positions?? Looks like IT is the last stop for the older generation Shell don't want anymore and need a few more years to retire.

Well, that's funny. I'm over 50 and I'm constantly having to help these young inexperienced hires. They want to apply what they learned in school without realizing that it won't work in the real world !

Time to push out the old 55+ time to go

This generation is the reason shell will not change.

They speak well do the sou courses yet still focus on the wrong details and there is a diminished returns in addressing each what ifs.

Couple scenarios yes but 10'plus is over thinking analysis and parallelism equal to to over engineering.

Unless you are GM+ time to purge the old JG3,2 And some 1.

Rumor has it now that the Motiva divorce is final, IT, business analyst, and loading support services will all be outsourced overseas, so it's only a temporary stop-over. if they are not lucky enough to get the years in when the position is eliminated, than that's it!
