When is CSX going to wise up and start firing General Car Foremen? It is perhaps THE most useless and unnecessary position in management and they should all be forced back into walking cars or just let go entirely.

Don't feel bad we have 2 general car foreman
It's a joke most of them are clueless and don't know or can't give you a straight answer when you ask them a question. Some of them took that job because they are to lazy to work their tools and you can tell by their management skills and practices. For calling in sick we have Stars and it would not be out of the question for us to call a crew caller system like transportation has.
@1ihq - now, that 'I do not know" made me laugh... So true
Our yard and shop runs itself. But who are we going to call in order to mark off sick or say 'I don't Know' when we ask a question.
